Denise Lim, Managing Partner, Banking & Finance

Denise has more than 15 years of successful track records in this well known executive search and recruitment firms covering middle to back office functions within the Banking and Financial Services industry. Her portfolio of mandates includes roles in Compliance, Risks, Finance, Audit, Product Control, Middle Office and Operations. In more recent years, Denise focused mainly on mid-to senior-level roles in risk management and compliance. Her areas of specialization include regulatory and product compliance, control room, AML/KYC, operational risk, market risk, credit risk and enterprise risk management. Prior to joining the executive search and recruitment industry, Denise had worked for Value Partners, HSBC Asset Management and BNP Paribas and had developed an in-depth knowledge and strong network of professionals within the industry.

Denise majored in economics and minored in business administration at the University of Wisconsin – Madison, graduating with a BA degree. She is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Florence Kwok - Manager, Banking and Financial Services

Florence started her career in the recruitment industry in 2000.  She has been working with clients in the banking & finance sector for over 10 years.  She has considerable expertise in banking operation. During the early stage of her career, she worked closely with many banks on different types of recruitment projects and provided on-site recruitment services to the client. She is specializing in corporate and commercial banking and has good connections with professionals in treasury, product, risk and control.

Apart from recruitment, Florence also has experience in people management.  She is currently managing a team which is well connected to banks, insurance companies and non-bank financial institutions.

Florence was educated in Hong Kong and New Zealand.  She has a degree in Social Sciences.  She can speak English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Gerard Finlay, Managing Partner, Legal

Gerard has over 12 years recruitment experience and a specialist knowledge of recruiting legal and compliance professionals into in-house roles in Asia (ex Japan).  Initially trained as an accountant in the United Kingdom, Gerard worked in a number of back and middle office roles (including compliance) in the United Kingdom, Hong Kong and Australia, before joining the recruitment industry in Hong Kong in 1999. Since then, Gerard has developed a strong track record of successfully undertaking both retained and contingency assignments in the private practice and in-house sectors across a number of Asian jurisdictions including recruiting Partners, General Counsels and Regional Heads of Compliance for international financial institutions, investment banks and law firms.

Having lived in Asia for over 13 years, Gerard has developed both a strong knowledge of the intricacies involving in recruiting in diverse Asian markets and an excellent network of connections in the legal and compliance sectors across a number of countries (including Hong Kong, Singapore and the Greater China region), all of which allows him to offer a specialist, professional and focused recruitment service to clients and candidates alike.

In his current role as Managing Partner, Gerard is responsible for developing the Legal Recruitment practice in Hong Kong and the Greater China region and assisting in the continued development of Experis’ well respected Compliance practice.
